About the Artist
Chris Samolyk
My eyes have always delighted in the beauty of creation.
Since childhood, I've desired to paint what I see. Today, by the grace of God, I paint with a different perspective - one that involves both my eyes and my heart.
I studied to be an artist in college, and made a living in advertising and marketing around the years of raising my family. Today, my husband and I live in New Hampshire which has become the main focus of my paintings. We are a family of eight with adult children and grandchildren. Now I enjoy the gift of time to return to the fine arts and communicate messages of the heart.
Paintings
The paintings you see are some of my favorites done in oil, acrylic and watercolor. The subjects are places in nature that make me stop and look! I use photos for reference and work primarily in the studio, although lately I enjoy doing small studies while on an airplane! It helps me practice, passes the time and I always meet someone new!
Home POrtraits
I began exploring painting home portraits in 2024. Soon after, family and friends began requesting a portrait of their home. It has turned out to be a favorite in my art endeavors because our homes are one of the many ways we experience God's provision in our lives. Our homes are filled with stories, personal growth and where we learned to love.

Return Policy
I want to make sure you are satisfied with your fine art purchase. To assure that, our communication along the way is very important.
If any artwork is damaged in shipping, take photos of the outside packaging and the damaged art inside and contact me immediately via email. Delays in contacting me will impact the outcome. I will work with the shipper directly. Chris@paintedhomeportraits.com
Prints will be replaced if damaged. Original paintings cannot be replaced, but the amount paid will be reimbursed via the original payment system.
